Dutasteride Mesotherapy
What is Dutasteride Mesotherapy?
Dutasteride: Minimal amounts of dutasteride are directly administered to the patient’s scalp as part of the mesotherapy medical treatment for hair loss. Dutasteride is a DHT (dihydrotestosterone) blocker with a proven clinical effect in the field of androgenetic alopecia and thus hair restoration.
Dutasteride inhibits the conversion of testosterone to DHT by blocking the enzyme 5-alpha reductase, which is responsible for the hormonal hair follicle miniaturization and is the main factor of androgenetic alopecia. Such a local response to the injected dosage is more beneficial so that systemic side effects are minimized or even not occur at all.
Symptoms Treated by Dutasteride Mesotherapy:
- Progressive thinning on the crown or top of the scalp
 - Receding hairline in men and women
 - Hair miniaturization (weaker, finer strands)
 - Reduced hair density or volume
 - Stubborn hair loss resistant to topical treatments

Causes of Hair Loss It Helps With:
- Androgenetic Alopecia (Male & Female Pattern Baldness)
 - Hormonal Imbalance (including PCOS-related hair fall)
 - Post-pregnancy or age-related hair loss
 - Chronic DHT sensitivity
 - Hair loss due to long-term stress or medications

How Dutasteride Mesotherapy Works:
- Scalp Assessment: Areas with thinning or active hair loss are identified.
 - Micro-injections: Small doses of dutasteride are injected precisely into the affected scalp regions using a mesotherapy device or microneedles.
 - Localized Action: The drug stays concentrated in the scalp, directly blocking DHT at the follicle level without affecting the whole body.

															Treatment Plan:
- Frequency: One session every 4–6 weeks
 - Duration: 3–6 sessions depending on the severity of hair loss
 - Maintenance: Once every 6–12 months for long-term results

Benefits of Dutasteride Mesotherapy:
- Direct DHT inhibition at the follicular level
 - More effective than oral finasteride or minoxidil in many cases
 - Minimal side effects compared to oral medications
 - Slows or stops hair loss progression
 - Promotes regrowth in dormant hair follicles
 - Can be combined with PRP or GFC for enhanced outcomes
